Services: Depending on time, two pre-natal visits. This is to allow us to get to know each other, practice pain coping techniques, and prepare for the upcoming labor.
Emotional and physical support during and after labor. Including breastfeeding support.
One or two post-partum visits.
Qualifications: I have attended the DONA training workshop and am currently seeking certification.
Personal notes: I have given birth natually to a baby boy with the support of a doula. She was great for both my husband and I. I am fascinated with the incredible impact a labor support person can have on the outcome of labor and delivery, and I emotionally drawn to the miracle of birth. Whether is it your goal to birth at home, at a birth center or in a hospital setting (with or without medical interventions) a doula can help you find the strength to make your labor and delivery a postive, empowering experience.
