Services: I provide personalized planning to help you get ready for your birth and extensive prenatal education as part of my service as a doula. Many doulas work separately as childbirth educators; I feel this is simply an extension of my work for you as doula. I will meet with you and your caregiver as well to go over your birth plans to make sure that we are all working as a team and that the things that you with to have at your birth are going to be available.

I will meet with you at least three times prenatally, more if needed. I offer continuous labor support and will then stay with you after the birth for a few hours to make sure that breastfeeding and mother/infant bonding is established. We will then have at at least one postpartum visit to go over your birth and to suggest any referrals that might be needed.

Qualifications: DONA trained and working toward certification.

Personal notes: Hand in Hand Doula services has been serving the families of Chicagoland since 2003. We support expectant mothers from pregnancy through their baby's first year. The services we offer include private prenatal education, holistic nutritional counseling based on the healing power of whole foods, labor, birth and breastfeeding support, and postpartum care.
