Services: I offer prenatal massage as well as education, excercise routines to prepair for your "Mommy Marathon", support and encouragement. I also attend at least two doctor or Midwife appointments with the mother and am avaliable (on call) as the mother approaches her due date. I will arrive at your home to help you through early labor and accopmany you to the hospital and assist you through the labor/delivery process to accomplish a more positive outcome. My role also is as an advocate for you and the father with the hospital staff to accomplish your birth plan.
Qualifications: I have had extensive training and certification in my field and work primarily with Pregnant women and their families in the Birthing year. I also continue to do some regular massage as I have clients who just can't find a better one anywhere else. It still surprizes me to hear that but am pleased I do my utmost to serve my clientele.
Personal notes: I am happily married with three daughters of my own, ages 24-17. We own a farm in which we raise much of our own foods. I am Midwife to my sheep and goats as well as our horses and cattle. We also raise poultry of all sorts and put out a substantial garden. I raise Great Pyrenees Guardian dogs and a variety of farm cats and pigeons. I am entering Midwifery school in January and am attending a Midwifery Workshop in Summersville Tenn at "The Farm" under the direction of Ina May Gaskin, the mother of modern Midwifery. My goal is to give mothers back their control over their own births, something that is lacking in modern obstetrics. I feel blessed to be doing this work.
