Services: I provide childbirth education classes, preferrably beginning by 28 weeks as it is an eight-week long seried covering a variety of topics including but not limited to, how to select a hosptial and care provider, nutrition and exercise, normal stages of labor and typical variations, breastfeeding, and newborn care. For a nominal donation, I provide continuous labor support. Included are one or more getting-acquainted meetings prior to labor and one or more post-partum visits and breastfeeding support. All pregnant women and mothers with nursing babies/toddlers are invited to attend a free monthly support meeting for breastfeeding mothers. Also available for an independent fee, we provide pregnancy and/or newborn photography sessions.
Qualifications:
Have been a childbirth educator since 1998.
Have been a breastfeeding counselor since 1998.
Have been a birth doula since 2000.
Am currently DONA certified.
Personal notes: I have been married 12 years, I have 4 children, and have had one hospital birth, one birth center birth, and two home births.
