Services: I offer 3 pre-natal visits to make sure you feel prepared and confident about labour and birth. I provide continuous, hands on support throughout labour. I will see you twice post-natally to ensure breastfeeding is going well and give you the opportunity to process your birth experience. My pre-natal class, "Birth Essentials:A Course in Empowered Childbirth" offers you not only education, but an opportunity to discover and explore your thoughts and feelings surrounding this special time in your life. MotherWit birth doula clients receive bodywork during labour and a free session during one of the post partum visits. A comprehensive doula training program is coming soon.

Qualifications: I received my birth doula training from ALACE nearly a decade ago. I am a Practitioner of Polarity Therapy and have knowledge of Ayurvedic Post-Partum massage. I have three years training in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, and am a former La Leche League Leader.

Personal notes: I feel that a good birth is not one that necessarily goes as expected, but one in which you feel heard and respected. It is my belief that with good support, a woman's confidence to use her innate ability to birth and nourish her child is increased. A mother of three, I bring knowledge, experience, compassion, and empathy to my doula work. I offer you support based on your needs/desires/values. It is my hope that your transition into motherhood is full of joy and confidence.
