Services: Labor Support includes: -At least 2 prenatal visits. -Your own personalized birth plan for managing labor and delivery. -Unlimited telephone and/or email contact for any questions that might arise. -On call 24/7 two weeks prior to due date through birth. -Labor support and encouragement at home or the hospital. Postpartum Support includes: -At least 1 postpartum visit. -Breastfeeding and/or bottle-feeding support for mom. -Newborn care. -On call 24/7 for one week postpartum for any questions. Antepartum Support includes: -On call 24/7 for 3 weeks prior and 2 weeks after birth. -Companionship for those on bed rest. -Transportation offered to prenatal appointments. For an additional fee, childcare, meal preparation, and housekeeping will be provided to ease you and your family into life with a new baby. Additional items offered: -Organic/All natural comfort info offered from Aromatherapy to Meditation and prayer, and everything in between. -Birth Journal and mementos. -Sliding scale fee for those who qualify.

Qualifications: I have had training as a volunteer doula in my local community and have been practicing for the past 6 years. I am currently in the process of becoming certified in Labor, Postpartum and Antepartum. I have been witness to 6 vaginal births, 4 being my own. I have worked with infants and children in a variety of settings, daycares, homecare and schools for the past 15 years. Both as a support system and also in structured settings.

Personal notes: I am a stay at home mom to 4 wonderful children, 2 girls and 2 boys from ages 11 to 2. I am also a stepmother to 2 delightful girls. My husband and I have been blessed to deliver our 4 vaginally without medicines or complications. I believe that the birth mother's desires are the utmost important and should unless medically impossible be fulfilled. This is her time and it is my job to make this a wonderful experience for the birth family. I volunteered in the "doula" program that ran in our community for a number of years and am confident in my calling to this profession. I am currently servicing, Petoskey, Alanson, Pellston, Cheboygan, Indian River, and Mackinaw City...if needed I will travel farther.
