What do I provide?
Qualifications: I am currently working with DONA to complete my certification.
I am volunteering at the Guelph Midwives on a weekly basis, completing administrative tasks, including prenatal packages, client charts, discharge packs, and birthing kits. While Midwives and Doulas are not the same, it has been a very positive experience, and has influenced my thoughts on birthing and provided me with invaluable information.
I have attended one birth so far, and it was a very rewarding experience. I received high praise for my work and I am excited to continue.
Personal notes: I am a student at the University of Guelph, reading for a B. A. in Women's Studies. I am focusing my studies on women, the family, and the birthing experience. I am an aspiring birth doula working in the city of Guelph ON.
