Services: As a Doula, I provide physical, emotional, and informational support to women during labor and birth. I provide constant support for them through the labor and delivery, including helping them with breathing techniques, suggesting positions to help labor progress, and helping make sure the mothers wishes and expectations are met. I also provide the support to a woman's partner, who sometimes can feel either overwhelmed or pressured to remember all of the coaching techniques. My services usually include 2-3 of the prenatal visits, 24 hours a day on-call service for the months around the due date, continuous support throughout the entire labor, birth, and immediate postpartum period, and also a postpartum follow-up visits can be arranged. I am available 24/7 everyday.

Qualifications: I have been a Labor Support Specialist since 1989. I have assisted in over 25 births. I also am a mother of 3 wonderful children. I am currently working on my certification through DONA (Doulas of North America).

Personal notes: I live in Englewood, Colorado. I have three wonderful children. I became interested in helping with women in labor when I noticed a need for someone besides the nurse and the coach to help. I noticed there needed to be someone there for the woman’s needs and to support the coach through the birthing process. So, I have dedicated my time to helping in any way I can to ensure that labor and delivery will be the best experience it can be.
