A little about me: As an experienced Registered Nurse(RN) I have personally delivered 32 babies. I have also participated in over 100 births as certified midwife and RN in Ireland, and as a RN in California and Doula. As a nurse I am intimately familiar with the often-hectic nature of hospital protocol. I've have indepth knowledge and training in pre-natal and post-natal care of mother and baby including breastfeeding. I am a licensed RN and I am a doula working with The Birthing Project of Sacramento. I believe strongly that a woman in labor and delivery should have the constant presence of another woman experienced in the birth process and who is empowering and empathetic. I see my role as an educator, a comforter and a supporter; I empower, reassure and help the woman to be as relaxed and calm as possible through the process of labor and delivery.
