Services: My Birth Doula Services include: A free consultation visit, prenatal visits in your home, assistance writing a birth guide, basic pregnancy and childbirth education, as needed, phone consultations throughout pregnancy, Early labor support in home or hospital, continuous labor support, photography or video taping at the birth, use of birth ball, lending library, referrals to community resources, breastfeeding support, back-up doulas available, postpartum visit 10-14 days after birth, and a written birth record. I am on 24 hour on-call status beginning 2 weeks before due date. I can assist in the event of an unexpected outcome by providing support, guidance, and information
My Postpartum Doula Services include: A free consultation visit, access to my personal reference library, referrals to community resources, and postpartum visits in your home, during which I will assist you with: newborn care, breastfeeding, sibling care, errand completion, meal preparation, organization, and light housework (i.e.: laundry, dishes, vacuuming), and any other concerns you may have as a parent of a newborn.
I offer antepartum support while you are pregnant. This service is especially helpful for mothers with high-risk pregnancies or mothers without a partner. My Antepartum Doula Services include: A free consultation visit, prenatal visits in your home during which I will assist you with: child care, errand completion, meal preparation, organization, and light housework (i.e.: laundry, dishes, vacuuming), and any other concerns you may have during your pregnancy, assistance writing a birth guide, basic childbirth education, as needed, phone consultations throughout pregnancy, access to my personal reference library, referrals to community resources, attend meetings or doctor’s visits with you. I also provide comfort measures, physical support, emotional support and companionship.
Qualifications: I have received education for the Doula role from DONA (Doulas of North America) and I am a certified Birth Doula through DONA (Doulas of North America). I have attended births in several different hospitals in the area. I have attended vaginal births with and without medication, VBAC and cesarean births.
Personal notes: I am the mother of a beautiful little girl. I was lucky enough to have a doula for her birth. This experience drew me to becoming a doula, so that I can help other women through the life-changing birth experience!
