Email address: nausetsunrise@verizon.net

Services: Initial Interview/Informational Meeting. 2 Prenatal Visits - meeting with your care provider. Assistance with Birth Plan/Wish List Preparation. Phone and e-mail consultations throughout pregnancy and post-partum period. 24hour availability from 37 weeks Continuous labor support at home, hospital, birth center throughout labor and through 1-2 hours postpartum. Postpartum visit. On-going support and referrals as needed Use of comfort tools/aids in my birth bag. To serve you in labor would be a great privilege!

Qualifications: Labor Assistant/Midwifery Assistant 2000-2001, Nurses Aid Training 1999, Partners in Perinatal Health Conferences since '99 to present, American Red cross Health and Safety Services Instructor for CPR, Mass. Child Care Course Certified 1998-2002. Milk Bank donor 95-96 and 97-98. La Leche League Volunteer for Mothers Returning to Work, Certified Pharmacy Technician Mass. Friends of Midwives clerk, representative to coalition for midwifery, directory producer.

Personal notes: While I have continued to read professional publications, attend workshops and maintain an active presence in the field of birth and midwifery, for one and half years I did not attend births in order to give my full attention to my growing family. Now that my children are older, I can again, with my husband's support and blessing, resume my calling as a labor support provider/doula. My service is called "Blissful" after seeing my image in a birthing video as I supported a laboring woman. For an extended period I carried her entire weight, encouraged her and assisted her in position changes--the entire time I smiled, feeling blissful while working (almost) as hard as the glowing, birthing mother!
