Services: I offer classroom and one-on-one lactation education for moms who are interested in breastfeeding. I also offer labor doula support for moms in the Northwest Denver area (Arvada, Broomfield, Westminster, Lakewood, and Golden). I am willing to also travel to Boulder.

Qualifications: I am a graduate of North Dakota State University with a BS degree in Education. I am also a Certified Lactation Educator (CAPPA) and am working on my certification as a Labor Doula. I'm also pursuing my BSN Degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (Denver) and hope to pursue my Graduate degree in Nurse Midwifery.

Personal notes: I believe birth is a beautiful and natural process, the entry of a new soul into this world, and the creation of a new family. Too often, birth becomes a medical process and loses much of its natural wonder and serenity. I am inspired to do this work by my birth experience with my daughter. While I was pregnant with her, I knew there had to be a better way to approach birth. Fortunately, I learned more about both Lamaze® and The Bradley Method® and how natural childbirth "works." I am pleased to say that with the help of my amazing husband, my doula and midwife team, I had a 100% natural childbirth, with no medical intervention. I am now a stay-at-home mom and am doing this work to help others achieve a similarly beautiful birthing experience.
