Services: Audrey typically meets with the birthing parents twice before the birth and once after the birth. On call time generally begins at 37 weeks until the birth. During labor Audrey will come to the home and then accompany the couple to the hospital when they determine that the labor is active and the birth will be soon. Additional postpartum services can be negotiated.

Qualifications: Audrey has over 15 years experience with more than 150 births both in home settings as well as in hospital and birth centers. She has assisted parents in birth in every hospital in the Northern Viginia are as well as several hospitals in DC and Maryland. She works to ensure that parents are well informed and know all options before making any decisions. She will labor with the parents in the home before going to the hospital. She is qualified to make general assessments of the progress of labor, as well as assist the couples in determining when to leave for the hospital. She has worked in the NICU and Labor and Delivery at Alexandria Hospital, and for the past 12 years has been a birth assistant with BirthCare and Women's Health in Alexandria, VA.

Personal notes: Audrey graduated from George Mason University in 1981. She is married and has four children. All of her children were born in out of hospital settings, one at a birth center and three at home. She has experienced both long and short labors and is very empathic towards all laboring women.
