I have been a birth doula since 2001, and am currently studying to be a nurse with a long term goal of being a midwife. I have two young children.I adore sharing a woman's and her familieas experience through pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.

Services: I provide birth doula services and am on call for you at 36 weeks until two weeks after birth. I am comfortable with home, birthing center, and hospital births. I hope for at least three prenatal and two post partum meetings and of course continuous labor support. I am alsoavailable andfor postpartum support and childcare services.
Qualifications: I am a certified Ballard House Doula (2001) a training and certification process similar to DONA's training and have also attended a DONA training(2003)and am just finishing up the paperwork for my DONA certification. I also have a BA in cultural antrhopology, am a Reiki I practioner, and a preschool teacher.
Personal notes: I grew up in Southern Maine, went to college in Western Montana and returne to maine six years ago to start my family. When I stumbled upon my first pregnancy I was transformed by all the information about pregnancy and birth. I was truly amazed and quickly found myself gravitating to others who like I were wrapped up in this world of creation...birthworkers. I love being a Doula.
