Services: My birth doula services include:

• Free, no obligation interview to discuss how doula services would benefit you and your partner during your birth
• 2-3 prenatal meetings to get to know each other, discuss your wishes, practice comfort measures and, if needed, develop your birth plan
• trip with you to a prenatal appointment to meet your caregiver and/or to tour your chosen hospital or birth enter
• Day and evening phone access for questions or concerns
• 24 hour phone access starting 2 weeks before your due date
• Early labor support at your home if desired
• Continuous physical and emotional support during active labor, birth and approximately 2 hours postpartum
• Informational support for you to make decisions regarding your birth
• Encouragement for you to ask questions and make your wishes known to your caregiver
• Support and assistance to establish breastfeeding
• 1 postpartum visit approximately 1 week after your birth to admire your baby, discuss your birth, and address any concerns you may have
• Additional referrals when needed

My postpartum doula services include:

• Cooking one nutritious meal per day of service
• Light housekeeping such as doing the dishes, picking up the living room, etc.
• 1 load of laundry per day of service
• Playing with the other children in your family
• Watching your baby while you nap or shower
• Basic breastfeeding tips and support
• Basic baby care skills such as diapering, bathing, soothing, cord care
• Physical, emotional and informational postpartum support
• Additional referrals when needed

Qualifications: Certifying through DONA International. I have attended several births for friends during the last 3 years and love the chance to make someone else's birth a beautiful experience.

Personal notes: My desire is that every woman discovers the magnificent power within herself through her birth and postpartum experiences.
My passion is to empower women and their partners to find that they need not bow down to the medical establishment if their heart is leading them down a different path.
My goal is to provide information so that women can make a truly informed decision regarding their care before, during and after the birth of their baby.

I am a stay home mom to 2 wonderful children. My births were unmedicated and my second was a homebirth.
