Services: I offer a free initial interview for you to determine if I would be a welcomed addition to your childbirth support team. In addition I provide 2 prenatal visits. The first visit we discuss your wishes and fears of the birth and assist in preparing a birth plan. During our second visit we practice labor relaxation techniques. I am on call 24/7 for labor support and when you are in labor provide support in your home and continue on to the hospital where I will stay up to 2 hours postpartum to assist with breastfeeding. I provide your first evening home meal and 1 postpartum visit to discuss your birth, answer any questions and present your birth story from my point of view.

Qualifications: I am a DONA certified birth doula and I am currently seeking certification through CAPPA.

Personal notes: I have lived in the Reno/Sparks area since 1981. I am a mom of 2 boys both born at home. I have supported moms in both home and hospital births (Carson-Tahoe, Tahoe-Forrest, Saint Mary's, Washoe Med & Fallon).
