Services: My orientation is in developing a trusting and nurturing relationship through the pregnancy, labor and delivery, and post partum experience. This starts with a preliminary interview, and continues with 2-3 prenatal visits as desired. I am present with the birthing mother from start to finish during labor and delivery, and stay as long as is needed following the birth. I follow up at the hospital, and am available for 1-2 postpartum visits as needed/desired. I also work on an on-call basis for women who find they need additional support during labor and had not established a doula relationship.

Qualifications: Certified by the Childbirth Enhancement Foundation (CEF), I have been supporting women giving birth in both the hospital and home environments. I bring an integrative body/mind/spirit orientation to the process, helping mothers and their partners to bring forth their natural strengths and resources. My mantra is "every birth is different!" and my role is to honor and support each mother to have the birth in her own unique way.

Personal notes: Between births, I am a photographic artist working on a series of book projects called SoulScapes, and lead transformational "creativity and soul" workshops. Gestation and birth have been a consistent theme throughout my creative work. When I found myself helping friends during pregnancy and immediately following birth, it became a natural lead in to becoming a doula. It is a joy to help others birth their life’s dreams, in all forms!. I have always loved babies, and never cease to be amazed at the miracle and love that accompany each new being into the world. It is an honor to participate in this significant journey in a family’s life.
