Labor support doula service includes 1-2 prenatal visits, constant accompaniment during the labor extending to 1-2 hours following the birth to help with the latch-on for initiating breast-feeding. One or two follow-up postpartum visits are also included to see how the new family is getting on. For this labor support service the fee is a fixed rate.
For postpartum doula care after the baby has arrived, Birthing With Joy can help ease the transition into parenthood. Suggestions and support in baby care, mother care, family care and natural healing are among the various areas in which having a doula can be an enormous benefit.
