I provide continuity of care to the birthing couple. I provide emotional, physical, and information support for the birthing couple, before, during and immediately after the birth of their baby.

Services: I meet with you at least two times before your estimated due date to become better aquainted. From there, I offer Childbirth Education as a seperate fee from my Birth Doula Services fee. I am available to you by e-mail or phone from the moment you hire me until you give birth to your baby. I work with you before, and during labor on comfort measures and relaxation techniques to make your labor and birth more manageable. I facilitate positive communication of your needs and desires to hospital staff. Whether you decide to have a medicated or non-medicated birth is up to you and I will support you in whatever decision you choose to make. After the birth, I provide breastfeeding support for an additional fee.

Qualifications: I am a mother of four children. Three born in hospital, one born at home underwater. I am certified by DONA International as a Birth Doula. I am certified by Birth Wisdom of California as a Perinatal Support Specialist. I have my Childbirth Educator Certificate from Lamaze International. And I hold a Certification as a Lactation Educator from CAPPA.

Personal notes: I am married, and have four children. I enjoy being with my children and walking on the beach, swimming, snorkling, camping,playing tennis, and watching my sons play sports. My Great Aunt was a midwife, and my Grandmother had nine children. I feel drawn to Doula Service, to support women before, during, and after the birth of their baby.
