Qualifications: I have attended over 150 births as a doula and midwife, proudly having "caught" 50 sweet babies, and provided holistic primary care to hundreds of families!
I am a graduate of Seattle Midwifery School, and plan to register as a midwife in Vancouver BC in early 2006.
Prior to midwifery training I spent 8 years providing doula care, both labour support and postpartum care. I also earned a certificate in Childbirth Education and taught both private childbirth classes as well as hospital-based classes.
Personal notes: The births of my own four children taught me the positive power of childbirth as a life-altering event. I have had a variety of birth experiences myself and support every woman in her own personal birth choices. I have supported hundreds of families on their way to parenthood and look forward to serving more in the years to come.
