Services: Hospital Births, Birth-Center Births, Home Births. I will be there for at least 2 prenatal visits, more if needed, plus unlimited phone availability. Also- continued support throughout your entire labor, and helping to get started breastfeeding. I have a backup doula 'just in case.' I also provide 1-2 postpartum visits as needed, and again unlimited phone availability.

Personal notes: I have had a strong passion for women in labor since I myself started my own pregnancy in 2003. My mother-in-law was a midwife for over 25 years, and I received so much wisdom and gentle guidance from her in the way of informing myself about my pregnancy- and making decisions that were best for both my baby and myself. I had a beautiful home birth (water birth) with my son- we had an amazing experience together with my husband. I absolutely loved every minute of being in labor, and loved even more the end result! I strongly believe in women being informed and taking responsibility for their own births. I would love help you to be informed, and then support you in any decisions you make along the way as there is no one 'right way' to birth- but rather whatever is right for you and your baby. The ultimate birth is one where you feel like it is something you accomplished, not something that happened to you.
