Services: I offer emotional support, & advice during pregnancy/ birth, exercise & physical suggestions to make pregnancy more comfortable, help with preparation of a birth plan, massage & other non pharmacological pain relief measures & positioning suggestions during labor & birth, support and guidance for the partner as well, a back-up or Doula team if necessary, helpful reading materials, birth planning & preparation assistance, labor support, free lending library (books & videos), a personalized birth story, free referrals (to Postpartum Doulas, lactation consultants, therapists, pediatricians or OBGYN, community resources, & early head start) & free hand-me-down clothing and baby furniture (when available). I take occasional free cases for low income clients but prefer payment plans & “some” trade. As well I offer pregnancy group art classes (in your home for groups of 3 or more), as well as baby shower or blessingway party coordination, belly art, homemade beauty product parties, & free referrals to local artists; photographer, caterer, portrait painter, tattoo artist, crochet artist, jeweler, baby clothes designer & more.

Qualifications: In January2004, I attended a Doula coarse from “Doulas by Nature”. After my training that summer, I started attending births. In the past year I’ve had the blessings to attended 10 births & am awaiting 2 presently. I am experienced with hospital births, but look forward to attending home births. I’ve worked with; couples, single mothers, teens, women in their late 30’s, first time mothers and mothers of many. I understand the importance of having an experienced companion and guide when traveling new paths in life.
