Services: My services include, but are not limited to, 2 pre-natal visits you discuss your desires and wishes for this birth, provide some pre-natal education if required, help establish a birth plan, direct you to local resources, support you throughout your labor - I can come to your home or meet you at the hospital, I can take photographs if you wish, help establish breastfeeding and meet with you after you're settled at home to go over the birth...and admire the new baby of course!! I also can provide references from previous clients and I work with other local doulas to provide back-up.

Qualifications: I was trained in 2002 as a birth doula and am currently persuing certification.

Personal notes: I am passionate about pregnancy and birth and want to help women acheive a satisfying and empowering birth experience. I beleive that pregnancy and birth are a normal process. I am the mother of two breastfed toddler boys and myself have had a medicated, interventive birth and a doula supported, unmedicated birth. Whether you plan to labor without medications or want an epidural in the parking lot I feel a doula is a valuable asset to any birth.
