Services: My services include at least two pre-natal visits to go over your needs, do some childbirth education, and help you establish a birth plan. I will be on call by cell phone staring two weeks before your due date, as many email and phone calls as you wish as well as continuous support throughout your labor and birth. You may call me to join you once you think you are in labor,(or when you feel you need my support). I can join you at your home first or we can meet at the hospital. After the birth I can stay an hour or two postpartum to help you establish breastfeeding if you wish. I will also do a postpartum visit once you are settled at home to go over the birth, give you a written birth story, and to answer any questions you may still have. I can also provide a back-up doula if you wish.

Qualifications: I have been attending hospital births since 2003 and I am currently persuing certification.

Personal notes: I am the mother of two toddler boys and I have a passion for helping women acheive a birth that will be both safe for the baby, and a satisfying and empowering experience for the mother. I beleive that childbirth is a key life experience that can affect how a mother feels about her body, her strength and her parenting skills. I also would like to see women in New Brunswick have the option of delivering her baby in the most comfortable environment possible, be that with a midwife, family physician or an OBGYN, at home a birth center or in a hospital...with "mother friendly" care.
