Qualifications: I have five years personal experience with mothers and babies, two years professional experience and my certification process through DONA almost complete.

Personal notes: I have two children, born in 2001 and 2004, one as a medicated birth and one natural birth. I have been married since 1997 and have lived in the Finger Lakes Area since August 2005. Raised in Boulder, Colorado, I have a somewhat natural approach to parenting but I have learned to respect all families parenting styles and philosophies, one size never fits all. I discovered my passion for mothers and babies when I assisted a mother in need during her birth a year before my first child was born in 2000. I started helping other mothers professionally in 2004 as a breastfeeding counselor. I have now started pursuing my certification through DONA as a birth and postpartum doula; I will have completed my certification by fall 2006. I will also complete my training as a CLC(certified lactation counselor) in June 2006. My company, Nurturing the Mother Doula Care serves the area of Geneva New York and beyond.
