Services: I provide 2 prenatal meetings in which we discuss the mother's or couples' vision of the birth and my role in the process. I assist with the completion of a birthplan as well as helping the parents feel comfortable handling labor at home for as long as possible.
I am available at any time by phone, and expect to be in very regular contact once labor begins. I will join the laboring mother upon her request, and stay through the birth. I provide a few hours of immediate postpartum care.
I also enjoy meeting for a postpartum visit to discuss the birth, answer questions, and present the birthstory.
I am also available for massage throughout the process. I, of course, offer a discount to doula clients.
Qualifications: I graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy. I furthered my certification by attending Body Therapy Associates Pre- and Perinatal Massage Workshop. I received my doula training through the DONA organization. I am currently furthering my skills by studying Core Syncronism with Alyssa Gylespie.
Personal notes: I am a younger doula who is very passionate about this work. I feel that "hands on" comfort is wonderfully welcomed and therapeutic during the birthing process. I love being a part of the journey!
