Services: We are focused on the woman primarily, and will provide continuous support throughout pregnancy, labour and birth. You may choose to have us meet you at your home during early labour. We also provide postpartum support as needed. We also support the husband or partner as needed, ensuring they stay "fed and watered" and have opportunities to take short breaks.

Karen is a certified Birthing From Within Mentor and offers Birthing From Within classes to clients and the public. These are multisensory, individualized, and meaningful classes. We work to build a pain-coping mindset and address the emotional, physical, and spiritual side of birthing and becoming a parent.

Whether you are planning to birth naturally or otherwise, we are there to respect you and support you through your own choices. We strive to preserve and protect the birth memory by enhancing a safe environment for you to birth in (ie. dimmed lighting, warmth, volume at a whisper, access to food and drink, enhanced physical/emotional comfort measures). If you need NOISE, we can do that too!

Personal notes: I have two children, ages six and three. I have recently completed my Birthing From Within Certification which was an amazing journey. I have learned that so many things are interconnected and that pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding really do prepare us for parenthood and offer many opportunities for learning about and improving ourselves.
