Services: My service area covers all of Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Wilmington, DE. I am willing to work in hospitals, as well as birth centers and home settings. I am currently volunteering my services while completing my certification requirements. As your doula, I provide the following standard services: ~2-3 prenatal visits ~Unlimited phone support ~24x7 on-call for labor starting at 37 weeks ~Present for labor and birth, plus 2 hours postpartum ~1 postpartum home visit ~Breastfeeding support ~Help with writing a birth plan ~Access to a variety of comfort messures, including massage, soothing music, birthing ball, candles. ~Mehndi: celebrate the beauty of your belly by adorning it with a unique henna design! ~(Optional) Photography of labor and birth, including online web space for album (extra fee)

Qualifications: I'm currently working on fulfilling my certification qualifications, which include reading a few more books, taking my exam and attending a few more births.

Personal notes: I am currently an ALACE trained labor assistant (doula), and am working on becoming fully certified, with the long term goal of becoming a licensed midwife. I am the youthful mama of three homebirthed children, ages 1, 3, and 5. I have been a stay-at-home mom since the birth of my first child, and really try to stay active in my children's lives. I share my life with my husband, Tomas, and together we lead an ethical vegan family who tries to live as compassionately as possible. I have a love for nature and animals and have many hippie ideals such as environtmentalism, non-violence, natural living and informedness about as much as possible. When not busy mothering, I can be found in the kitchen doing personal chef gigs. In addition to being a doula and one day pursuing midwifery, it's always been a dream of mine to open a vegan cafe and bakery. My other interests include: reading, sewing, painting, singing and trying to get as much out of life as possible by self education and personal growth.
