Services: As a doula my services include: • An initial consultation to get acquainted and give you the opportunity to make the decision about hiring me. • 2-3 prenatal visits to develop a relationship, help you write a birth plan, and get accustomed to your wishes and my role as your doula. • Continuous support throughout labor and birth. I will support you at home or at the hospital, whenever you feel you need me. • Photography if desired. It is preferable to have someone else chosen as the photographer so that I may offer my full attention as your doula, but I will capture some photographs, especially after the birth, if you request this. • Immediate postpartum support, including help with initial breastfeeding. • 1-2 postpartum visits to answer any questions, help with the adjustment of having a new baby, and to help with breastfeeding if necessary. • Unlimited phone support. I will be on call from three weeks before your estimated due date and for three weeks after the birth of your baby.

Qualifications: DONA Certified and certified Bradley Instructor with the Academy of Husband-Coached Childbirth.

Personal notes: I am the wife of my husband of four years and mother of five great kids. My personal birth experience includes my two sets of twins and one in between. I had an epidural and episiotomy with my first set of twins, identical girls, had my middle son natural with a CNM in the hospital, and had a C-section with my boy/girl twins. I think I've just about done it all and my next is going to be a home birth. :0) I am passionate about childbirth, but I also do medical transcription at home very part-time. I enjoy reading and playing games with friends. I would love to help you have the best birth possible.
