Services: I can offer Antenatal and Postnatal visits and will accompany you to hospital appointments if requested. I will help you to produce your own personalised birth plan and can also give advice for methods of pain relief (and their advantages and disadvantages)I will be on call for you two weeks prior and post due date, and will offer a back up doula who is also a midwife. I will stay for the first hours after birth to initiate skin to skin and your first breast feed with your baby.I will come to visit you once you are home to give ongoing support with your breastfeeding and you can contact me via telephone or e-mail with any questions or concerns you may have.

Qualifications: Higher National Diploma in Midwifery Qualified Midwife Status Member of Royal College of Midwives

Personal notes: Hi all you pregnant ladies I am a forty year old qualified midwife, parnet educator and mother of three children,two born in hospital and one at home(all of whom I succesfully breastfed)I can offer you support throughout your pregnancy and can help you prepare fully for the birth of your baby,what to expect when labour starts and how you can recognise it. I have worked in both hospital, birth centre and home enviroments with labouring women and have had lots of experience with active and water based births. I can teach you coping stategies for you and your birth partner during labour, and the use of different positions to facilitate your labour to be as efficient and short as possible. I have taught breastfeeding to hundreds of women, including those with very premature babies on the special care unit
