Services: I offer a free initial consultation. In addition, I offer 2 prenatal visits in your home, phone and email support anytime, birth ball lending, aid developing a birth plan, referrals to local resources, 24 hour on-call from 38 weeks, continous labor support for the birthing woman and her partner, initial breastfeeding support, and a postpartum visit.

Qualifications: I am a Cerified Birth Doula through Doulas of North America CD(DONA). I have attended many different kinds of births including un-medicated, medicated, VBAC, cesarean, and inductions, and I am entirely comfortable supporting each woman in having the birth experience she wants.

Personal notes: I have been married for nine years and am the mother of three wonderful children. My family is the light of my life. Although I have lived on both coasts, I have called Colorado Springs my home for the last 20 years. I graduated from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs with a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology. However, I feel being a Birth Doula is my true calling having had a life-long interest in pregnancy and birth and a passion for supporting women and their partners through the birth process into parenthood. I supported friends and family in pregnancy and birth before becoming a professional doula in 2003 and seeking certification. My personal birth history consists of a fetal demise at 24 weeks, a cesarean birth at term after extended labor, a homebirth VBAC with no complications and an induced hospital VBAC respectively. I am passionate about the value and importance of the birth experience which creates memories that last a lifetime.
