Services: We provide both birth and postpartum support to Tucson families. We work with all local hospitals and the Birth Center. We also welcome home births!
Qualifications: All Desert Doula members are DONA certified and are privately insured. Our Doulas come from very diverse backgrounds. We have Spanish, German, French, and sign-language speaking Doulas! In our group, we also have a HypnoBirthing instructor, childbirth educators, a dietician, an R.N., and massage therapsists. In September 2001, we began working within Tucson Medical Center - as Tucson's first-ever hospital-based Doula program!
