Services: I serve the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. I work with a variety of care providers and am willing to support women in their choice of birth sites(home, hospital, birth center). I charge a flat rate of $300. That includes at least two prenatal visits, continuous support of labor and birth (reguardless of length), back up doula, a detailed written birth story, a follow up postpartum visit, breasfeeding support and referrals for many other needs you might have. In getting to know you, I'm able to better individualize your care. There is no fee or obligation to interview me to see if I'm the right doula for you.

Qualifications: I started to attend women in birth in 1982. I found out there was a name for what I was doing in the fall of 1998, I was certified through DONA in May of 2000. I currently am the president of the Quad City Doula Association and serve on the certification committee for DONA.

Personal notes: I believe that birth can be a life affirming experience. When women know their options and make informed chioces, they are more likely to have a birth experience they can feel good about and draw strength from. I have supported women in all kinds of situations, ranging from homebirth to a scheduled c-section.
