I provide continuous emotional and physical support for laboring families through out the RTP area. The first birth I attended was in 1996 and have been following my calling ever since.

Services: I provide continuous and caring support throughout labor and delivery. My services begin with at least two prenatal visits, more if the mother goes past her due date. I am on call for 10 days prior to due date until the baby is born. I will stay with mother and baby until breast feeding is established and family has begun bonding. I also provide some postpartum care, determined by talks with the the family before labor begins.

Qualifications: I am a Certified Doula through DONA.

Personal notes: I am a proud mother of two boys. Both were born after the first birth I attended, giving me the insight to how fathers and partners feel during labor. I insisted on a doula at both my births and now try to help other couples, both mother and father, to achieve the birth they want. I have taken classes in Lamaze, Bradley Method and prenatal Yoga.
