Services: Doula Services include: * FREE consultation to meet and determine your hopes and wishes of your own birth experience. * Once contracted, 1st prenatal visit includes creation of your own unique birth plan and preparation for labor. * 2nd visit in which we will go over any fears/desires/hopes you may have in regards to your birth. We may also use this time for private childbirth education and a "dry run" to practice techniques, pushing positions, and natural pain relief. * Present during all of your labor and up 2 hours following your birth to assist with Breastfeeding and recuperation. * Postpartum follow up, 1-2 weeks following birth. * 24/7 telephone support, I am available to you at all times for anything you need. -OTHER SERVICES- *Private Childbirth Classes *Photography to creatively capture your pregnancy,childbirth, and newborn family. Personal notes: I am a mother of two beautiful little girls ages 7 and 3. My 1st child was born traditionally and naturally. My 2nd child was a WATERBIRTH naturally. Both were delivered in the hospital setting. I am a licensed practical nurse with 5 years of experience in Women's health. Currently I'm working as a nurse, childbirth educator and birth doula at the practice-Especially for Women. Prior to this I worked primarily as a nurse in the OB department at a hospital outside of Minneapolis, MN. My family and I recently relocated to Florida from Wisconsin. I am a very compassionate and caring individual with strong belief in the power of natural childbirth and alternative therapies. I absolutely love what I do and being a part of the beauty of having a child. I guarentee that the techniqes I use in childbirth will help you gain the spiritual and empowering awareness of how amazing and positive childbirth is. As your Doula, I see myself as a companion that is trained to recognize and attend to the mother's needs while maintaining a calm,nuturing environment for birth using aromatherapy,music,massage/accupressure, and guided imagery.
