Qualifications: Nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. In 2004, obtained a specialization certification in prenatal, perinatal and postpartum massage. Licensed for massage in Illinois and Wisconsin.
I have been through doula training workshop and is currently working on birth doula certification.
Personal notes: I believe that women have been beautifully designed to support the life within them and give birth naturally. Pregnancy can have significant impact not only on present habits and lifestyle, but on the body too as it alters to accommodate the new life within. I enjoy working with women prenatally to manage extra stress during this time as I feel it is essential for not only the pregnant woman's health, but also that of her relationship with her partner and her baby. Working together before the birth is good practice to ensure a peaceful and loving environment for the birth.
