Services: It is my belief that birthing women inherently and intuitively possess all the knowledge she needs to birth. Provided with continuous physical and emotional support a laboring woman will be respected , comforted and well informed of all the choices before her. I can help you realize and achieve your dream of a beautiful birth.

I meet with a birthing couple several times before labor begins to educate, plan and discuss comfort measures for labor and birth. I am present with you from the start of your labor until your baby is born. I have experience dealing with the unexpected and can help you navigate the unpredictability of birth.

I have extensive knowledge and experience with breastfeeding and will help you start a beautiful nursing relationship with your baby. After your baby is born we meet at least one more time, in some cases two, where we will get a chance to process your birth experience together. At this time I give you a written account of your labor and birth from start to finish. This will be a written memory, from my perspective, for you to treasure forever. More importantly you and your partner will hold in your heart and soul the true memory of your greatest achievement - your wonderful birth.

Qualifications: I am a certified doula with the premier doula organization Doulas of North America. I completed doula training in the fall of 2000 and have been attending births regularly since then. I am a member of the Childbirth Collective in Minneapolis and Doulas of North America.

I have attended workshops with Penny Simpkin, Ruth Ancheta, Marshall and Phyllis Klaus, John Kendall, Barbara Harper and Jack Newman.
