Personal notes: I have been interested in birth since the birth of my children with no medications in the '60's. I knew it could be done and wanted to help spread the word and support others in this amazing process. After nursing school I became fascinated with neonates and directed my focus on neonates. At the recent birth of my 4th grandchild I reconnected with the joy of birth, the work of birth, and the need for knowledge, support and comfort to all women giving birth. I became the doula that I believe I always was and have been attending births since 2001.
