Personal notes: I'm a young single mother. I have one daughter who is the light of my life. I became interested in doulas when I was pregnant, though I never thought of becoming a doula myself until after my daughters birth. My focus is on bringing a more human touch to hospital birth settings by involving all the emotions of birth. I think more than anything that the each mothers wishes during childbirth need to be respected and acknowledged... I aim to help those around her become intunned to those wishes and help make her birth as wonderful as possible.
