Services: I will take on clients at any stage in their pregnancy, but ideally I would like to find women due within the next few months. However, if you do chose to hire me now, you will receive the reduced rate over the higher rate that I will charge come August upon certification completion.

I provide personalized childbirth preparation during two prenatal meetings, and will also help you create a birth plan. I am available via phone or email to answer questions and concerns during your pregnancy and I will be on 24-hour call for you during the 2 weeks on either side of your due date. I offer continuous support throughout labor and birth and for the first postpartum hours. I will also provide one postpartum visit and breastfeeding support or work solely as a postpartum doula, if so desired.

Qualifications: I am currently pursuing certification as a Labor Support Doula/Postpartum Doula and am currently available for hire in the Chicago/Evanston area for a reduced (negotiable) rate.

Personal notes: I am a mother to a beautiful little boy. He was a planned, natural birth in a birthing center. My husband was a nervous wreck! My sister showed up when I became 4 cm and served as my doula. Just her very presence in the room comforted him and made the experience more enjoyable for the both of us. After that, I experienced a calling to become a doula myself.
