Personal notes: I became a doula long before I knew what a doula was, helping friends and family through the amazing journey of birth. When I was a little girl people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I never said what you might expect; a doctor, veterinarian, fireman... I said I wanted to be a mommy. I never imagined I would be a mommy to so many wonderful families and babies. I am also mommy to four beautiful children and married to the most phenomenal husband. Without him I could not do this work.
