Services: I teach a seven-week natural childbirth class at Newton Wellesley Hospital, Newton, MA. that is geared towards families looking for a less medicalized, more natural (unmedicated) birth experience. I also provide birth services for women and families looking for additional prenatal and birth support. I will work with families in a hospital, birth center or home setting, and am happy to provide support for any kind of birth experience - unmedicated, medicated or surgical.

Qualifications: I have a BA in psychology from Boston University and am certified both as a childbirth educator and labor assistant.

Personal notes: I am the mother of two wonderful young children - a boy and a girl. My educational backround is in psychology and a find myself often encorporating counseling-oriented services into the support I provide to the families I am working with. I view pregnancy and birth as a normal, natural and life-changing event in a woman's life cycle. It excites me when I work with women and families who are willing and open to experiencing their births not just as a physical event, but as an emotional, psychological and, often, spiritual experience.
