Services: As your Doula, I am contracted by you and will be your advocate. I will strive to communicate you and your partners wishes to your doctor and/or hospital staff. My job is to provide you with the emotional, informational, and physical support that you desire during your labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

The Emotional Support that I will offer to you and your partner will begin at our prenatal visit, at which time we will discuss you and your partners wishes before, during, and after the birth of your baby. During that discussion, I am positive that we will all know if we feel comfortable with each other. This to me will be the most important meeting. If, at any time, you or your partner do not feel comfortable please do not hesitate to say so. This is your experience, it is a once in a lifetime experience for you, and you need to feel comfortable with me.

The Informational Support that I will offer to you and your partner will consist of open and honest communication. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions, concerns, or even if you need a little reassurance during a difficult moment. If I am not able to answer a particular question, I will do my very best to research and ask the opinions of other more experienced Doulas.

The Physical Support that I will offer to you and your partner will be of an assistant, a nurturer, a guide, a soft and caring nonjudgmental energy. If something doesn’t feel good, or your just not interested, or you are in a place where you and your partner just want to share a moment, this is when I become a part of the background.

Qualifications: I completed my Doula Training through Bates Technical College. I am a certified doula with Doulas of North America (DONA).

Personal notes: I find an inner peace and joy supporting women in labor. I value each and every experience and try to inspire hope, laughter, and growth through each birth experience. I strongly believe that every woman has the inner peace and strength to meet any challenge in life.
