I offer one free "meet and greet" session, if you choose, as an opportunity to meet me and discuss services and fees together.
I believe birth is intimate and private by nature. Therefore, I truly would be honored to assist and guide you through your birthing experience.
Qualifications: I have been a childbirth educator since 1988 for home, birth center or hospital births. I have been involved in maternal child nursing since 1995 and midwifery with formal training since 2003. I have attended births at homes, birth centers and hospitals. I have done about 200 deliveries as a Certified Nurse-Midwife in birth center and hospital settings. I am also a licensed lactation consultant.
Personal notes: My love for the irreplacable experience of giving birth came from my own 5 births. Despite the trials, over the years, now with 7 children (2 being stepchildren) and an unfailing loving husband, the joy of birth and mothering hasn't faded.
Professionally, the journey began 21 years ago with my fourth child breastfeeding on one side, while I held a book on the other to complete my certification to teach childbirth. Since then, I have been committed to empowering women in birth and in their ability to maintain their health and well being through menopause.
Presently, we live in Central Massachusetts on a sunny hillside with apple trees and a large garden. We love to run, garden, hike, and camp together. I hope to meet you soon!
