Services: I provide monthly prenatal visits with foot soak and foot massage while we discuss your hopes and questions. I offer continuous support throughout labor and birth with one scheduled follow-up visit. For a more detailed description, please see my website or contact me for a free brochure.

Qualifications: I trained to become a doula at Seattle Midwifery School in October 2001 and am currently working toward DONA (Doulas Of North America) certification. I have attended a natural birth in a birth center, a cesarean, a homebirth, a VBAC attempt, and an epidural birth. I have helped women experiencing back labor, slow labor, and even an extremely fast labor where I actually ended up catching the baby because the midwife didn’t make it! I can often be found making prenatal calls with a local midwife to her Spanish speaking clients, where I work as her translator. Before I became a doula I was a nursing assistant for eight years.

Personal notes: I am married and have two children born in 1996 and 1999. In between births, I am currently pursuing a degree from Portland State University in counseling and religion. I support the DONA mission to make a doula available to every woman who wants one.
