Services: A doula and educator since 1998, I believe my role is to help my clients and their partners make educated decisions and then support them in those decisions. Specializing in holistic support, Optimal Foetal Positioning and facilitating healing from past birth experiences.
Childbirth is not only a physical experience but also a spiritual and emotional experience. I believe it is important to address these areas through education with a particular focus on the "Fear-Tension-Pain" cycle. And, although I love to support people of all faiths in their spiritual journey of childbirth, I am passionate about helping those of the Christian faith incorporate that into their birth experience.
My role changes to support each client individually, providing a complimentary role to Dad's involvement and importance. I believe that no woman should labor alone and am honored to attend as the primary support person as well. Birth Doula Services include two prenatal visits to discuss birth plan, preparation, etc., support throughout pregnancy (questions, concerns, etc), support during labor, childbirth and the immediate post partum period, including one in-home postpartum visit.
I excel at natural unmedicated support because it allows me to use all of my skills and knowledge to help families achieve the best experience possible for them and their baby.
