Personal notes: I began my career in childbirth with the birth of my 2nd child. At first I thought I would become a Midwife, starting out on that path I felt the calling to be a doula. I began supporting families as a doula in 2002. I have completed training and certification requirements to become a Certified Doula (CD) through Doulas Of North America (DONA). I'll be working hard this year trying to fulfill certification requirements for Childbirth Educator through International Childbirth Education Association, Inc. (ICEA). With this certification I plan on offering private childbirth preparation classes to parents wishing for a more natural birth experience.
