Services: My contract with you will include two prenatal visits. When you go into labor, I will stay with you throughout your labor and delivery until you and your baby are comfortably settled. At times I will visit you in the hospital the next day should you need me. I also include a written birth story to be shared at a postpartum visit to your home. Childbirth classes are contracted separately & can be private or semi-private to suit your needs and schedule. The focus of my classes is evidence based maternity care, focusing on the risks and benefits of choices in maternity care. The goal is for each mother to understand the process of normal labor, the variations and the potential risks and benefits to common interventions. We will also practice (not just talk about) common non-medical comfort measures such as: massage, visualizations, movement, positions during labor and breathing patterns.
