Qualifications: I am a trained doula, herbalist, certified lactation counselor and student midwife. I have a BA in herbalism and child development

Personal notes: I have a three year old son who was born as an unplanned, traumatic cesarean. I also have a newborn son who was a VBAC (Vaginal birth after cesarean) born at home. My experience of such extremely opposite births gives me a strong understanding for helping women through varied experiences. The healing power of my own VBAC has taught me the empowering potential of birth. I am whole-heartedly committed to working with women who are having a c-section, recovering from a cesarean (physically or emotionally) and those planning a VBAC. I am firmly rooted in my belief that birth is a natural, physiological event that occurs most fluidly when a woman is comfortable and well supported. I recognize the judicious use of medical interventions as well as the appropriate use of alternative methods. I believe in the power of a woman, her innate knowledge and her capabilities. I support all women through all of their choices. As my client, I support you regardless of your religious, spiritual, sexual, social or personal background. I support all birth plans whether you wish for a natural birth, medicated, cesarean, VBAC, waterbirth or some combination of all of your options.
