Services:

I believe that each birth is a unique and personal experience and that my job is to support the mother and her partner in their vision for the birth.  I offer a continuous presence throughout labor and two hours post-partum, providing emotional support(encouragement and reassurance), informational support (helping you gather the information you need to make truely informed decisions regarding your care), physical support (comfort measures, positioning, massage, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, etc.), advocacy (helping you convey your wishes to your caregivers) , and parnter support (reassuring and encouraging your partner in his/her role).  My services also include two prenatal visits and one post-partum visit.  I am on call continuously from your 37th week of pregnancy until you give birth. 

Qualifications: I am a DONA trained birth doula in the process of completing my certification.  I have knowledge of labor support and comfort measures, as well as basic breastfeeding support.    

Personal notes: I am a new mother myself.  I gave birth to my first child in October , an experience that solidified my growing passion for birth.  In the future I hope to become a midwife and work internationally.
